Haridwar (Uttarakhand) [India], June 22 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said on Sunday that about 33 lakh people have visited the Char Dham so far this year.

He also said the Kanwar Yatra is organised every year, and he will soon review the preparations for this year's event.

Speaking to the reporters, Pushkar Singh Dhami said, 'The Char Dham Yatra is ongoing, and around 33 lakh people have visited the Char Dham so far... Every year, the Kanwar Yatra is organised, and we make preparations for it. I will very soon be reviewing the preparations for this year as well...'

The Char Dham Yatra 2025 officially began on April 30 with the opening of the Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham on Akshaya Tritiya amid Vedic chants and rituals. The doors of Kedarnath Dham were opened on May 2, and those of Badrinath on May 4.

Dhami said at the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh conference that they discussed ways to maintain coordination between labour and industries for development.

He added that their goal is to provide the best facilities for all labourers.

'In this conference, we discussed how we can maintain coordination between labour and industries for development, and we are actively working on that... Our constant effort is to ensure that all our labourers receive the best possible facilities,' Dhami said.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the closing ceremony of 'Swarnim 70 Years' organised by Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh Uttarakhand in Haridwar.

The officials and youth of the Mazdoor Sangh welcomed the Chief Minister.

Dhami inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. A large number of youth were also present in the program. He has also participated in the youth worker conference.

Earlier on Saturday, Uttarakhand made history by becoming the first state in India to implement a dedicated Yoga Policy, following its pioneering efforts in introducing the Uniform Civil Code.

The Pushkar Singh Dhami-led cabinet approved this landmark initiative, aiming to establish Uttarakhand as a global hub for yoga and wellness. (ANI)
