Vadodara (Gujarat) [India], May 6 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma lashed out at Congress leader Ashok Gehlot following the latter's criticism on BJP government holding training camp in Gujarat.
'Our former CM (Ashok Gehlot) tweeted that our (current) Government was in hotel and now they are going to Gujarat's Kevadia. I would like to tell him that work on your mindset, you have lost your mental balance. A man who dedicated his life to make India, Shreshth Bharat, he united the princely states of the country and built Shreshth Bharat - we are going to the memorial of Sardar Patel which sends across the message of unity and integrity of the country and to strengthen the nation,' said Bhajanlal Sharma speaking at an event.
Earlier, former Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot questioned the need for the state government to conduct training in Gujarat.
'It is very surprising that from today to the next few days, the entire government, including the Chief Minister of Rajasthan and the BJP legislative party, is going to Gujarat for training in a luxurious tented resort. This is the first time that training is being given after one and a half years of the government being formed. Does the BJP high command feel that the Rajasthan government has failed in one and a half years, and hence, there is a need to give training? What will be there in this training that cannot be done in Rajasthan?' Gehlot asked.
'When international events like the G-20 were held in Jaipur, Udaipur, etc. during our government, why did the need arise to conduct the training of the BJP Chief Ministers and MLAS outside Rajasthan?' he further asked.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma extended his greetings on Saturday on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day. He emphasised the essential role of independent journalism in a democratic society.
In a message shared on X, Sharma said, 'Heartfelt greetings to everyone on World Press Freedom Day. Independent journalism is the cornerstone of democracy, playing a vital role in empowering society. On this occasion, let us all come together and pledge to uphold the dignity and freedom of journalism.' (ANI)
