New Delhi [India], July 17 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha asserted that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is conducting an investigation into the Pahalgam terror attack, and those who carried out the murders have been clearly identified and they won't be spared.
He participated in the 'Jammu-Kashmir March Towards Peace' program and inaugurated the Gandhi Committee Art Gallery on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, LG Sinha said, 'The brutal murder of 26 innocent civilians took place on April 22 (Pahalgam). These ruthless murders were committed by Pakistan and its terrorists... Those who carried out the murders have been clearly identified. The NIA is investigating. Their pictures and names have become public through the media. I can say that their lives are not very long... In the last five years, the biggest commander of any organisation has not been spared. They, too, will have the same fate.'
He emphasised that through Operation Sindoor, India has shown the world that anybody who bats an eye towards it will not be spared.
'In the Operation Sindoor, India's bravehearts showed the world that if someone bats an eye towards India, then they will not be spared. The Indian Army does not have to give any evidence. Pakistan made a lot of claims, but they could not show any proof to the world. The most important change is that the indigenous equipment used by the Indian Army and the might they have shown deserves praise,' he added.
LG Manoj Sinha paid his respect to Mahatma Gandhi and offered tributes to him.
'Today, I have the privilege of inaugurating the Gandhi Committee Art Gallery. I consider Bapu a revolutionary, great soul, and I believe his philosophy is eternal. Jammu-Kashmir and Bapu had a very intimate and deep connection,' he said.
The event was also graced by former Union Minister and Vice-Chairman of Gandhi Smriti, Vijay Goel.
The Lieutenant Governor, in his address, also highlighted the transformation across various sectors in Jammu and Kashmir under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said the era of the post-abrogation of Article 370 represents a defining moment in the history of Jammu and Kashmir.
'The Union Territory has marked significant milestones over the past few years, creating new paradigms for inclusive development. Our economy has doubled in the last 5 years,' the Lieutenant Governor further said. (ANI)
